Restylane® Silk is the first FDA-approved product specifically designed for lip augmentation and the smoothing of wrinkles around the mouth in patients 21 years of age and older. Restylane Silk, like Vobella, will restore volume, giving your lips subtle plumpness. The results last about 6 months but can vary. Your body tends to break down the filler faster in the lips than other areas due to the amount of movement that occurs. Most dermal fillers now have numbing incorporated in them. You will still feel the injections but after the area is treated it will feel numb. The treated area can be iced immediately but it will begin to swell and usually peaks at 24 hours. We recommend not treating your lips right before a big event. Give yourself a day or two to allow the swelling to reduce.
