Billing Manager
Denise Drolet started with the practice in 1994 when it only had two dermatologists, Dr. Peter, and Dr. Scott Panzer. She began her journey working as a front office receptionist, and later promoted to an insurance coordinator in the billing department. As the practice grew she had moved through the ranks from a billing supervisor to her present position of Billing Manager. Her role includes managing a staff of nine, which includes coders, insurance coordinators, and authorization specialists.
In addition, she is responsible for resolving insurance and patient concerns, keeping up with the ever-changing insurance companies policies, protocols, and guidelines including ICD-9 and CPT. She is in the process of getting the practice and physicians ready for the new ICD-10 billing system which is to occur later this year. Denise always makes time to answer questions and assist the providers and staff with her extensive knowledge and understanding of how insurance and billing work.
