Naura Shah is a board certified Physician Assistant licensed by the states of Delaware, Virginia, and Ohio. She is joining us after practicing general dermatology mainly in northern Virginia for several years, then briefly in Ohio. She recently moved to Delaware and is eager to get to know the wonderful people of the surrounding areas.
Naura completed her undergraduate studies at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV with a Bachelors of Science in Biology in 2008. Shortly after, she pursued a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry before deciding to switch tracks to healthcare. She graduated with honors from the Physician Assistant Master’s Program at the University of Charleston, West Virginia in 2013.
She is a fellow of the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and was awarded the highest recognition within the society by gaining Diplomate status, after completing rigorous online modules designed for experienced dermatology physician assistants. Furthermore, she is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She has maintained a keen interest in academics for the past few years and has co-authored a few publications in well-known dermatology journals.
She is qualified to diagnose and treat a wide variety of dermatological conditions, including acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, warts, and skin cancers as well as perform minor dermatology procedures.
When she is not in the office, she looks forward to spending time with family and friends. She was born and raised in West Virginia and is an outdoor enthusiast, including hiking and cycling.
