Dr. Candrice Heath is a highly respected board-certified dermatologist. She has also earned additional board certifications in Pediatrics and Pediatric Dermatology, and she enjoys providing care to entire families, with patients of all ages from newborn to 115 years young. Dr. Heath was motivated to pursue a career in dermatology after witnessing her sister coping with the social hardships that come with having a birthmark on one side of her face. Her professional and personal purpose is to help her patients embrace beauty, both inside and out.

Dr. Heath has an unforgettable smile and warm personality that is comforting and puts her patients at ease. Her patients trust her with their inner secrets, and as a result, Dr. Heath is able to provide a more comprehensive and personalized level of care. Her unique approach to dermatology services remains in high demand for both adults and children.

After receiving her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University, Dr. Heath earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia.  She completed her pediatric training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, her dermatology residency training at Mt. Sinai St. Luke’s, Roosevelt & Beth Israel Medical Centers in New York, NY, and her pediatric dermatology fellowship training at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD.  Dr. Heath was selected as chief dermatology resident physician during her final year of training. Dr. Heath has been heavily involved in dermatological clinical research, has published multiple scientific journal articles and textbook chapters, and she continues to lecture nationally, most notably at the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Heath is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also a member of the National Medical Association, Medical Society of Delaware, Society for Pediatric Dermatology, American Academy of Pediatric and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Heath has held leadership positions in the Women’s Dermatologic Society and the Skin of Color Society, and she has also been a national board member for the Student National Medical Association. Locally, she is a board member for the Brown Skin Too Foundation, founded in Delaware, and serves as the President of the Delaware Academy in Dermatology.

Dr. Heath currently resides in Delaware where she thoroughly enjoys working with her colleagues and most of all, her patients. You may find her around town taking Zumba classes and having fun with friends.

Whether wearing her lab coat or not, Dr. Heath navigates the world of healthy hair, skin and nails with excitement and ambition. She is an advocate for her patients and their loved ones, and regularly serves in non-profit and community organizations to further the cause for the understanding of dermatologic diseases and prevention of skin cancer. Dr. Heath loves designing platinum level skin care regimens for patients of all skin tones by melding her knowledge as a dermatologist, a clinical researcher and a beauty expert with her compassionate care.
